  1. Promises in Mahabharata……….
    (correction)

It is very difficult to keep your promises in wars. Both Drona and Karna promised that they would not slay Yudhishthira. But you can see in the detail of war in the evening of 14th Day that Drona in rage tried his best to kill Yudhishthira. He was shooting fatal arrows at Yudhishthira with the desire to kill him. Yudhishthira strongly resisted Drona and saved his life.

Similarly Karna also tried to kill an injured Yudhishthira on 17th day. Yudhishthira tried to check Karna but Karna defeated him after a great fight. Yudhishthira got injured and was retreating to his camp. Karna chased him from behind and attacked to kill him. Nakula and Sahdeva tried to help Yudhishthira. Meanwhile Duryodhana almost succumbed to Bhima’s attack. So in order to save Duryodhana, Karna left Yudhishthira.
